About us
Lets quit horsing around and get straight to the point! Flatwoods Equestrian Center is located in southern rural Clermont. We have roughly 300+ acres of grassland, where you have the chance to view some cattle up close or some of Florida’s local wildlife. We also have a huge fenced in arena with jumps, barrels, pole bending and more! Our facility offers private lessons, group lessons, leasing, trail rides, boarding, horse training, and horse sales. With our smaller barn, we strive to create a relaxing and drama free environment for all ages to enjoy!
We have a good selection of horses ranging in different riding levels. Based on your previous experience we will match you with the horse that best suits your needs. We take pride in the fact that our horses have experience in English and Western disciplines, such as but not limited to jumping, dressage, pole bending and barrel racing. Owner and trainer of Flatwoods Equestrian Center is Emily Boykin. Emily has been around horses her whole life and started competing when she was six years old. Emily started teaching other how to ride in 2013 and opened her own barn in 2018. While she is still a younger trainer her knowledge is immense and she takes the safety of the riders and horses very seriously. Her students love having her for her kind words and attention to equitation making lessons with her educational and enjoyable.
